I was just reading another post about batteries. I have used Interstate (wet-cell), Optima, and Everstart Maxx. I absolutely do not mind changing batteries once every 2-3 years, so I have opted to go with Everstart because of the warranty, ease of return, and convenience.

My question is: If optima batteries are so good, and they certainly priced like they are good, why is their free-replacement warranty not significantly longer than other batteries? Most optimas have a 36 month free replacement and then a declining amount out to I think 8 years. The Everstart has essentially the same thing for less than half the price.

I have always wondered about this.

Thanks in advance.
Ron

Marketing... I have been using the Everstart Maxx as well good warranty, not to mention the convenience as you said. You can find a Wally World close to anywhere. Here in Garland we have a Wally World and a Sam's next to each other, I could get an Interstate at Sam's but they are not as plentyful as Wally.
