I'm off next week. I was hoping to take my new-to-me boat for a short trip out of Port A. Just checked the forecast and sea conditions. Wouldn't you know it....all week, winds SSE to 15 knots, seas 3-5 feet inside 20nm's and 5-6 from 20 to 60nm's.

Too darned rough. Do I go and fish the inside waters and jetties or wait for a better opportunity? HMMMM?

My vote would be the jettys. Bull reds should either be ther or will be ther soon. Tarpon should still be working the jettys too.

Tarpon and reds are always fun but my freezer is well stocked with reds at the moment. I've got a few spots that they're always biting.

Not sure I want to burn the money and a trip for reds.

LP, I'm in the same situation. Looking at the forecast and trying to decide if I want to expend the effort. Contrary to your situation though, my freezer is not full of redfish. SO....

Head North LP and fish Tawakoni. The catfish are turning on. You'll burn less gas too.
