Just spent about an hour and a half, between storm fronts, fishing just above a retainer pond on Bear Creek. I caught 8 or 9 small largemouths, from about 8 inchs to about 12 inches. They were all healthy looking stream fish. The larger ones were around a pound. Lost one that looked like it would push about 2 lbs. All caught on ul gear, 4lb test stren, using crappie jigs. The best being 2" white powerbait curlytail grub on 1/16 and 1/8 jigheads.
Another train of thundershowers send me home.
No pics this time.

BTW - this is the same location where I caught my best-ever bluegill.
