Early registraion using the on-line system is extended through October 1.

You may register on line at www.lakeforksa.com without paying the extra $10 as long as you pay by paypal or credit card. We will cut off the on-line registration option at midnight on the first. Late Registration will be available at The Minnow Bucket from 4:00pm to 10:00 pm on the 2nd and again from 5:30am to 7:30 am on the 3rd.

Everyone asks how many are there? With this event the payout is not based on any numbers. It is $6000 cash whether one or 75 show up.

Pamela Putman also took 1st in Ladies Bonus followed by Becky Reed of Atlanta, TX with 8.09 lbs (6th overall).

Robert Young holds the Big Crappie lead with 2.69 pounds.

Daniel Wrysinski of Mineola took Day 1 of the Youth Division with 4.61 pounds.

A total of 81 anglers competed on Day 1 and the average crappie weight was 1 pounds even.

Day 2 may prove to be rain-challenged, but the competition should be exciting. The complete results will be posted on www.lakeforksa.com at its conclusion.

2.69 ...that's a big one.

There were several over 2 pounds. The 2.69 eeked out a 2.49, a 2.25, and a pair of 2.23's. In last year's LFSA tournament, the top dog was 2.13 - it would be in 8th place this year.

The big fish bite was pretty good. Nobody wants to provide details though. //Sam

All I know is that there were a whole bunch of "big" filets in with the crappie we bagged for the freezer.

What a weekend at Fork, sunburn on friday ,windy on saturday and rain and wind on sunday, but thats fun fishing had a great time.

Heck of alot of big fish caught.

Club sure had a good showing for the ones that showed up congrats to paul and a heck of a job by fred, only weighted 4 fish sat for 6 pounds and came in with 10 + pounds in the weather, and this guy can fish, me had a small fish both days that killed me but still finished in the top five and out 80 entries ill take it.
