I saw the final cut as well, very well done would have been cool to get something about kc's fish being the one that was caught for 250,000 but I guess they cut that out.

I don't think Alan ever knew it. When you said I should mention it to him was the weekend they did the final edit. I wasn't able to email Alan until late Sunday and by then it was done.

Oh ok I was thinking that something was said about it but they just didn't include it...its a awesome video and should certainly spark some interest in carp angling.

You and Tracy are on it, yes. It shows you and Tracy hauling while Florian and I were blanking when we first arrived. Then it shows us changing swims and starting to haul. No interviews, however.

It's an 8 - 10 minute segment and they had a lot of material and locations to cover. They even had to edit out Florian's big brace and my big captures from that session.

They basically take sound bites from the interviews and put it onto action footage. Alan is a genius at doing this. The outro, of the segment, is even put to music and has a strong emotional lift. It's very cool.

That was the only part that had a bleep and I am sure that the only reason they used that clip was because of the significance of the capture.

Alan did not use any other clips where bleeps would have been needed. It is a family show for the general audience as opposed to targeting anglers specifically.

The episode has already been fed to many of the stations in Texas and it will be fed on a few more this weekend. For some reason KERA isn't going to air it until December.

Lonestar Carper you are correct it got a spark lit up in me. I have fished for carp with my Dad for the past 22yrs, and never new that they were that big in Lake Austin or Lady bird. I now have the attention of several friends and we are going to try some of the spots maybe in a couple of weeks!
