It's about 1,800 mile northeast of Shreveport (in beautiful Maine). Caught half-a-dozen keeper lake trout and one landlocked salmon - brought all back to Texas to be slowly smoked over apple and alder wood. Also brought back a couple of "Yankee" lures to introduce to the Texas white bass population - a Swedish Pimple and a Harry - weird names, but I know for a fact they work on lake trout. Last week in New England was absolutely perfect weather: sunshine every day with highs in the mid-70's.
