i was just curious on how big you guys are somewhat predicting these to be? Like how many teams...some of the lakes are pretty small is why I was wondering, I didnt know if you planned on it being a pretty small event or not.

Either way it doesnt matter, I was just curious.

In the past some of our tournaments have had around 10-15 teams and some have been smaller. This was put together to give some of the guys who don't want to chase the metroplex curcuit's or drive 2-3 hours the chance to stay close to home and do what we love to do. The smallest of the lakes is Alvarado and I personaly have been on it this spring fishing with 20 teams in a tournament and we never skipped a beat. It was a little tough but we managed. Come on out.

We do believe that we'll have a good turnout.Alvarado has been called the littlest lake, and that it won't hold a 30 boat tourney. But if you ever come out there to a tourney that has only 10-15 boats in it,you'll see 10 other non tourney bass boats,3-4 ski boats and 3-4 jet ski's.And with all that going on,we've never had an issue.Yes our lake selection is not the biggest lake's,but it's the lake's that us southern metroplex guys fish alot.So we didn't want to clash with the EML,Lewis,Grape tourneys, these are our backyard lake's and we just wanted cater to the southern guys, and give them a place to go around the house.

sounds awesome, I actually have never fished a tournament, but wanted to get into it pretty soon. This sounds like a good start...do you guys have a club also? Or is it just a line of open tournaments?

We are just a group of guys who have become good friends through fishing. We was going to start a club but there are to many floating around as it is. We got the best of both worlds. Good group of guys to fish with, no yearly dues and no monthly meetings. After the Fall/Winter Series is over we will start the Spring/Summer series(stay tuned for more info).

To answer the questions asked: $50 a team for 4 hours(isn't that bad $25 a man if you have a partner, days getting shorter and the warmest part of the day), 80% payback (added money for the finals), middle of Sunday during football season (some fisherman attend church), Waco (1 hour from where I live in cleburne). Hope this clears up your questions and hope to see ya out there if not see ya at the Cleburne Open on Oct 25th.... Oop's just gave ya another plug!

I think $50.00 a team is a great price,if not load and go fish Lewisville or EML's $60.00 a team weekly tourney for 5 hours. It's 2009,most of us are to old to ever get a check from the NFL,or we just record it.lol, and Waco is a hop, skip, and a jump.Lewisville is about the same distance. The 20% taken out is for the prizes and added money for the finals.[we done it like this at our last series, and everyone came away with money,or a nice prize.Just my 2 cents. Great job Dean and the rest of THE DIRTY SOUTH POSSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DIRTY SOUTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DIRTY SOUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DIRTY SOUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We checked Media,BassChamps,CABA,and BLT,plus tried to not interfer with anyone elses club or weekly tourney. But we was under the impression that you wasn't even sure you was going to do it.And wasn't sure on a date yet.And i think it was $200.00 per team.So we posted it that night, cause all dates were open.So hopefully if you fish Cleburne on the 18th in the am.Then do your Alvarado in the afternoon,we can run our tourney in conjunction with each other. And that way everyone can fish the Kings of Kountry and the Dirty South Bass Series.Just a thought.
