Keep it cool and dry and it should be OK. I ordered some back when it was 105 and humid as hell. When it arrived, it looked like a chunk of sidewalk chalk

I kept about 15 bottles of it in my garage for a couple of years and it was fine.

As long as there is no excess heat where you store your powder, they should be fine. Best just to store them inside at room temp. Transfer what you need into a small bottle for easy use.

Don't forget that when heating jig heads for powder paint, the best heat source is: (at any hardware store or Home Depot or Lowes)

This will not produce smoke nor blackened your jig heads prior to dipping into the paint.

Another tool to consider is the Alcohol Burner: (there are various type, but this is the one that I've been using)

TIPS:....prior to dipping your heated jig heads into the paint, use a toothpick to stir up the powder well to creat a bluffy feel. This way, you will use very little amount of powder to paint your jig heads, and a thin coat will look great without any blob....

coach You can take it to the bank if SlabmeSilly tells you anything about jig heads or jig tying, period. I just got a batch in yesterday's mail and they're AMAZING!! I still say they're as much art as tackle and they DO catch crappie.

We have found that a heat gun works very well also.

Bought one from Harbour Freight for around ten bucks on sale.

I use a heat gun too. takes abt 15 seconds a jig. some heat gun have ceramic rocks in them that stay hot for quite a while, so let it cool before you stick it in a drawer or flamable area.

Baby food jar and a cotton ball rolled into a wick and some denatured alcohol.I sit mine in this bowl/put some rocks by it for support/add some water to keep the glass cool. Works great so far.
