all twelve gates open.mucho water.no stripers,no whites.maybe when they close some of the gates the fish will be better.maybe they are down there deep and i don't know how to bring them up.good luck if you're going up there.the water both below and on the main lake looks very good.clear and green.the guys there are doing very good on jug lining for cats.

I was down there this morning and could only get a couple whites and then went to the lake and limited out on whites. Last thursday the whites were hitting topwater baits and it was a blast. Didn't take long to limit out and picked up a couple nice stripers with them.

When they cut back on the flow the whites and stripers should go crazy again.

I'll guarantee you there are some honkin' huge stripers in that rough-azz flow right now. How to present what they are there for is the difficulty. Hard to keep a cut-up shad on a natural drift in the current with fishing line adding a lot of drag. But the BIG fish are in there.

There should be some really nice stripers there now but If I anchor near the cable the water comes over the front of my boat and it is really rough. I have done this before but I don't want to catch stripers that bad. My little 18 ft kenner is just a little to small to ride that out. I had water come over the front of the boat a few times when I was fishin a little further back for the whites. Sometimes I just have to pass on some good fishin when it is toooo rough. I will try again later this week and see how it is.

you will miss some good fishin below the dam. I like to see deer season come because there will be fewer people below the dam and when it gets cold it will be some of the best fishin for blues you have ever seen.
