Tomorrow morning, sunrise, Curt and myself will be headed out to Marina park, who's coming?

im not going to make it this time maybe later in the day i can swing by but probably not

well, got the fiance in on the action tonight! She doesn't mind sitting around for a few hours reading while i attempt to catch fish, but she really suprised me tonight. I got to a new swim ill be fishing now since its private property and i can fish longer sessions into the night.

She showed up around 6 or so and we ended up finally leaving around 2 am after i went through 2 batches of method mix and ran out...Anyways, we caught 25 or so average carp (7-10lbs) with 2 that were around 12-13lbs, and i managed 1 15lb or so buffalo before she got there. I am going to start baiting this spot fairly heavy to see if i can draw in some bigger fish!

All in all eventhough there werent any big fish caught we had a really good time together and she actually enjoyed listening to me teach her about carp fishing and the gear/terminal tackle we use. Fun time for the books for sure!

with that smile on her face i have a feeling she will be coming more often , grats on the new pb . i bet you should wait to claim it , the boys at the tpw will be calling you "the boy who cried wolf " lol

Got a new PB tonight with a 21 lb buffalo at my Private swim, like a dip weed i didn't know my camera had a self timer and i was alone at the time so i don't have a good pic with the fish. Later after tinkering with my camera i found it does infact have a self timer and was able to take a picture of the 16 lb buffalo i got. Overall i captured 5 buffalo and about 8 carp of average size. I can hear some pretty decent crashes leading me to believe i have to ween my way through the smaller carp in order to get a larger one. Either way, thats the 2nd 20+ buff from LW as of late and several upper teens now! I know that lake record is out there just waiting for me!

You a certainly right, i have never felt the true fight of a fish until now! Those buffs were incredibly strong! I love every second of it!

Quick question though; What is it about a buffalo that makes him take your bait, then just sit there? On the 21 lb buff last night, my alarm sounded one beep, the sounded another...so i picked my rod up and it started reeling, i felt the fish on there at first, then it felt hung,(btw chris that snag i found is like a 6 foot channel) so i just left it there for a while. About 20 minutes later my alarm beeped once more, then 15 minutes in beeped once more. So i picked up the rod and the fish was there and i eventually caught it. Wierd... What is it about a buff that makes him pick up your bait and not move, at all?!?

Yeah there is no such thing as a bolt rig with buff sometimes. They are a puzzling fish.
