Called Dolphin Docks in Port A today to go on the 40 hr trip on 10/23, but they are booked. Only a 60 hr trip open.

Looking for another company in TX or LA to fish with....at least a 40 hour trip. Not really willing to pay for the charter boats.

This is part of our honeymoon

Dude, when the fiancee says she wants to go on a cruise for the honeymoon, she means on a real cruise liner, not on a fishing boat ...

Second this thought, as it is where I would look next.

There is the Big E out of Freeport that is arguably the nicest boat on TX coast complete with chef on board (I think) but cost is far more than Dolphin Docks who are the cheapest by keeping their amenities scaled down.

This is a fact. Fourteen hours to the closest floater one way and you better take baby wipes to clean the smelliest areas, but you can catch tuna on a tight budget.

F.W.'s Scat Cat is not available that weekend, that's a fact.
As mentioned, you can try DSH or U.E. to see if they're running any long range trips that weekend.
As for Louisiana, you can try Captain Tomeny, he runs 36+ hour trips, and may be running a trip that weekend.
Galveston has the new Buc and Captain John you can contact for long range trips then as well.
Good Luck and hope all parts of the honeymoon works out.
