Went out fishing today with a client and the fishing was good. We started off with buzzbaits around the grass in the morning and landed three keeper fish. My client wanted to learn how to fish deep water and read the graph so we did not fish topwaters long. We went out to my first place and caught 4 nice fish with the biggest being 6lb.. The fish where right on a brake line from 15 to 20 feet deep and the bait of choice was a C-Rigged brushhog and a hotlips crankbait. We left this spot with the fish biting so he could see more deep water spots. We went to three more deep water spots and caught 4 more fish, but the size was not like the first spot. My client had to get off the water by Lunch time so all in all it was not a bad day of fishing. He was happy and I had a good time fishing with him.
