Jimmy Carter may very well be concerned, but I am not.

The former POTUS is a product of his background as we all are.

I’m 32 years younger than he, and spent all my adolescence, and adult life after the end of legal segregation. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was enacted before I entered second grade. The former POTUS spent the first 40 years of his life in segregated Georgia.

My opposition to Obama is has nothing to do with Obama’s complexion, and everything to do with his politics, political, and social philosophy, as well as the sociopolitical company that he keeps, and has kept in his adult life. He has throughly surround himself with open socialist, and other leftist. His record as an elected official is one of a member of the far left, and he has done nothing that would dissuade me that he has other than a socialist agenda.

Let me be clear, my objection to having B.H. Obama as POTUS is based on his politics, and has nothing what so ever to do with his complexion, period, EOS.

That my view of others that oppose the agenda, policies, etc. of the current POTUS is informed by my own prospective is only to be expected. So, it should not be in any way surprising that I do not perceive racism as the root of the vast majority of those that stand in opposition of the current Administration. Rather it is my view that others oppose the current POTUS based on serious, substantial, and clearly, and easily articulable differences in political, and policy issues, and philosophies, as well as more broad based issues of the proper role of government in the lives of the individual citizen, and the proper role of national vs. state government.

While former POTUS Carter has a right to his views; I submit that his views are ill-informed with respect to persons of my age and below due to his failure of perception with respect to the role that race has played in more contemporary generations of Southerners, and other American of my age and younger.
