if you want something clean and easy, use fresh raw shrimp from you local grocery store meat dept. Tell the butcher that you dont want the cooked stuff, make sure its raw.

If the butcher does give you the cooked shrimp make sure you pick up some cocktail sauce.

to make your daughter want to go with you again , i would suggest not useing big marvs ( i love the stuff) or any other stink bait . shrimp does work very good and take some worms along even if the catfish aren't biting she will catch somthing

Shrimp is my got to raw from the store, cut shad, worms, chicken liver but for chicken liver get some pantie hose 3"by3" squre cut out put chicken liver on trebale hook then the piece around the hook and liver and tie it up and toss that out. 3/4 ounce wieght up to 2 ounce wieght!

Laugh, but Albertsons does sell precooked shrimp at the meat counter or they will steam it for you on request.

If you have a cast net shad or Team Catfish Secret 7 is also a good bait. Remember to play the wind. Take range cubes too to chum up some channel cats.

Danny Kings punch bait is my favorite. I dont do alot of catting but when I do, I use Danny King!

You get secret 7 from www.teamcatfish.com and playing the wind means fish windy points and wind blown timber/banks. Wind blows baitfish to this area's and predator fish follow.
