I want to try out the spot downtown on the trinity on taylor st where the trinity branches off. makes like a "T" in the river.

Went down there today with the fly rod and i saw some decent size carp rolling around and was kicking myself for not having my carp gear.

I however do not want to fish there alone, i had some "left of center" fellows come up to me today here and there that just made me uneasy.

So if anyone wants to give it a go with me let me know, it looks like it could have some really nice action and plenty of bank space.

Uncomfortable eh , one time while i was fishing at park pond , a couple who I'd say was about forty years old decided that out of the whole park the bench 10ft away from me was where they wanted to make out at.Now that's an uncomfortable situation.

I've only caught very small fish from the confluence of the West and Clear fork there. I *have* seen at least 1 large buffalo in the area a few years ago.

From sneaker (just upstream from there) I did land a 19.5 common, but it is fairly tough fishing.

I've never been bothered at any place in the area.

ScottEvil fishes folding stock which is not far from there either. I don't know what he's caught there though.

I didn't catch at the folding stock swim but have caught some 10#ers downstream at the spillway by gateway park. I have caught many gar, buffs and drum from under the spillways after a good rain. I may hit them back up tomorrow afternoon.

no im waiting till the rain stops, but i saw some big carp swimming on top at that spot thats why i want to fish it.

I'd go down there with ya but I'm going to try to hit the creeks running into Eagle Mountain first. Those people down there on the river bank are for the most part harmless/homeless. Just keep your tackle box with you all the time because anything they can run off with they will.

i didnt wait for the rain to stop but i should have stayed home lol . i casted out and set on hood with bait runner engaged and sat inside truck waiting for run , but it never came . i had been catching in the same hole for the last 4 days before the rains came
