Is there any way to darken the contour and road bed lines on the screen?

Tilt your unit back and they'll be easier to see. Don't ask me how I know.

I guess Im glad I ended up getting the HDS unit with the lake insite maps on it. Contour lines arent much better but the road beds are bright blue. Someone on this forum told me that he liked the lake insite maps better on some lakes than on the Navionics chip. I think it was Rob Jasper. Now I see why!

The contrast setting is a plotter function. Each plotter manufacturer chooses how Navionics data is interpreted and displayed.
Keep your feed back coming.... I'm here to help.

It works on land. I will see how it works on the water. I still like the road beds on the Insite maps better than the Navionics maps. Thanks MrG

I talked to Lowrance about this problem on Friday and they told me they have not had any complainants about this.I think if everyone would call or e-mail them about this they might do something about it.

Thanks

I'm not sure I really understand the problem here.

On my Navionics map I have - light blue at 17 feet and dark blue at 7 feet.

And have 1-foot contour lines (for those lakes that have the HD lines).

Yep I see all that easy (may be you need a larger screen or better glasses), or maybe I do Not Understand the Problem (which is usually the case).

I'm really Not sure here what is the problem,
