I'll be heading down to Austin starting in October so I'm not sure I can justify a Sept trip.

It would be more logical, to me, to have grapevine in Sept and Town in Oct.

I know I should have said all this earlier but I just looked at these threads. Sorry if this was already discussed.

I really don't care. The competition is 6 months long, so plenty of fish will be caught. Lets leave it alone and worry about the big ones in October.

No. I don't fish anymore. I fished The ATC in March, NY in May, and The CAGI in June. That's it for Carping for me. I'm looking forward to getting back down to Austin. I haven't been since March.

I'd *highly* recommend entering both, as 'buffalo happen' and ask GG about bait that only catch carp and not buffalo.

Caught at Town in 2001 during the ATC, at capture the fish weighed 46 lbs 4 oz after waiting over one hr for the official weigh in, the fish had dropped to 45lbs 11 oz.

Tournament entry will be $30. $5 each for the side pots of big carp and big buff. $5 will be taken out of each entry fee and go to the person with the total weight at the end of the series to pay toward the entry fee to the Southeast Regional tournament in Baldwinsville in New York.

RULES: These Rules apply to all entrants of this tournament. Violation of any of these rules will warrant appropriate disciplinary action. Any protest must be received in writing within fifteen minutes of final weigh-in. Tournament Director's decisions will be final in all matters.

State, Federal, and Local Laws must be obeyed.

Courtesy, sportsmanship and conservation must be displayed at all times by contestants. Any fish poorly treated will NOT be recorded and can lead to disqualification.

Any fish safe bait allowed. Any baiting method is allowed including boats.

Only 3 rods/reels are allowed per person not including spod or marker rods without hooks. Only one single hook allowed per rod. No trebles!

Foul hooked fish will not count; Hook must be within one inch from the mouth area.

Fishing is allowed from drawn peg location only. Fishing is only allowed from the shore, no fishing from boats or docks.

At no time is anyone allowed to touch other participant's rod or line while a fish is in play including initial hook set. Anyone can aid in netting a fish or baiting.

Only Cyprinus Carpio will count toward total weight. Side pots for other species may be entered as angler’s option.

The carp has to be weighed by a witness, and related information reported on the scorecard. Neighbor participant or stewards can act as witness.

Fish safe nets, landing mats/weigh sling and scale are required. If a participant does not own one, they can make arrangements with other participants to use theirs. Any arrangement must be made BEFORE start time.

Off limits period for the lake for fishing, scouting, locating any fish, including shoreline spotting will begin 24 hours before a tournament. No exceptions.

All fish must be caught in a legal and sporting manner during tournament hours from tournament waters. Any fish hooked before closing time must be landed within 15 minutes of tournament end time to be scored.

Upon entering this fishing tournament, contestants release LoneStar Carp officials and sponsors from liability of accidents, losses or injuries.

Yearly Standings will be determined by a cumulative weight of Cyprinus Carpio caught throughout the tournament trail.

We will meet up at boat ramp at 6 a.m. for the peg draw. Tournament will begin at 7 a.m. and end at 7 p.m. I appologize for not getting this information up sooner. I will post directions up later tonight or tomorrow.

Tracy, why change the entry fee 3 days before the tournament? I have no plans to fish Baldwinsville and I know for a fact 95% of the people who are going fish the LSCB tourney are not going to B-ville. The Bville tourney would cost whoever fished it at least $1500 and think this added fee is BS for us not planning on going there. It is wasted money for most of us in a time money is tight. Make is a side pot if you must

I suggested the extra $5 for Baldwinsville deal as a way to excourage guys to compete in mutliple events, and as a way to get more Texas teams up there. That was just my input- It's Tracy's baby; he can do with it as he pleases.
