Does anyone know how to go about mounting an external transducer on a Minn Kota Power Drive V2? it just doesn't look like it can happen with the way the shaft is.

Good question. The Power Drive V2 has the coiled cables, right?

I have a Power drive trolling motor, and the manual states to drill a hole in the rib on the top side of the head, and then run the cable up thru the handle and then thru the coil cable. the illustration shows the cable attached near the top of the unit.and no attachment on the shaft so that it can slide up and down.

hope this helps.
