Fished cooper sun& Mon. fishing is awesome right now on cooper for sandies and hybrids.Mon went out to check out new depth finder,so went to the pump station to find the creeks and flats out there.Started by trolling from the pump station to the north,we picked up 2 to 3 fish each pass out about 600 yards then back south. We were marking fish like crazy on the first ledge from the bank holding on a drop from6.5 to 16ft.Set out the bouye and boy it was on .. we threw little Georges and blue and white spoons on to the ledge and slow rolled them off the south side.Almost every cast we picked one up...well over 100 fish in a few hours on Sun.Went back Mon. cause dad and uncle didn't believe us and it was a repeat of the same thing. lost count Mon. at 80...if you live close and want to take someone out and put them on fish till their arms hurt take them to cooper and have a ball...so long for now see some of yall at the McDonald tourn.

Good report on Cooper. I have never heard a pump station mentioned on Cooper. Where is it located? I am planning on fishing Cooper next week so information on the location will be appreciated.

Wow those are some fatties. I'm assuming they aren't on some off-cycle spawn and are just really well fed???

Nice report, thanks.

FYI, shrink your pics before posting, it makes it easier to read and view.

Here are some we caught from Lake Tawakoni. We really like hitting Cooper lake. It is a great lake for Sandies. If you cant get your limit in 3 hours or less. You need to looks us up. We can sure point you in the right direction. In front of the spillway (lake side)is a really good spot too. This pic was taken 6/3/09

Man I have been fishing Cooper 2-3 times a week for the last 3 weeks or so and can't seem to get on the fish. My depth finder is not working so I guess that would be the first thing I need to get going. Have been hitting them hear/there but it is always a hit and miss.

Guess I need to find someone who knows how to fish them and take some notes.
