..makes a decent one?
The POS I bought several years ago from SEARS is leaking fluid everywhere. It still jacks and holds, but I sure don't trust it with hyd fluid oozing out from the hyd unit.
I know good shop jacks can run upwards of $1,000, but I can't afford nor need that high-end of a jack.
Also need one that'll lift high enough to reach the frame rails of my 4x4 Tahoe.
What kind of luck have you had?

I have two Craftsman floor jacks that have given no problems.

Take it back they may give a refund or replace it. Worth a chance. IMO

Check out the jacks at Northern Tool if there is one near you. They have a pretty good selection.

Thsnks ezbassin, I'll do just that.
Seems almost every floor jack I've looked at is made in China, and of suspect quality.
Just thought I'd ask the group if they've had over 10+ years of reliability out of one before they start leaking seals and carp out on you.
Thanks for the recommendation!

Sears Craftsman........end of story. The one I have now is a SEARS Crapsmen, maybe I'll just buy another and keep my fingers crossed.

I have a Craftsman that has always done well. I wouldn't leave the jack to hold your vehicle while you work on it, some stands would work better once you raise it with the jack.
