Anyone know if there are commons in Caddo? Looks like I may be heading out there for a getaway next week. I know they have some pickerel and other species that I want to target, but was curious if anyone knew anything about carp there.

Hmm....a 25lb buff on rod and reel and a 52lb buff on a trotline.

Might be worth taking the carp gear along....

Loc: TX, of course.
There is no doubt they're there. I've caught a few buffs from it, but I didn't spend any time trying.

Where you staying?

if you have never been it is truly a beautiful place. the dirtiest, stained looking water you will ever see. I can't see the carp being very big there but I'd love to be proved wrong. LOP would be my lake of choice down that way.

CORRECTION: the CLEANEST, stained looking water you'll ever see... it ain't dirty, it's tannic, and it's 10X clearer than anything we have in the metroplex...
