Does the movement of saltwater and freshwater in Caney Creek vary mostly with rainfall? Does it stay salty/fresh for months at a time?

Yes it does. With no rainfall the Saltwater is backed way up the creek. On a normal year would would have about 2-3 creek rises due to rain, and that of course flushes out the saltwater. but with no creek rises this year, or last year the water is very salty.

It's been salty since last year.
