Haven't fish with this friend of mine for about over 2yrs. He wanted to hit the water yesterday. It was my 5 day weekend officially started, but due to kids school, I couldn't fish all day.
Everything was unhooked and ready to launch only when I realized that IDIOT me didn't buy the new license yet (at least I remembered)...then Re-hookup we did... He treated me a lunch instead since I was P.O. at myself already. Stopped by Walmart and 45mins later (don't get me started with the Walmart "I don't give a ______ service", that would be another topic altogether) we headed back out.
Wind was NONE...glass-like lake is never made for crappie fishing...
Long story short, he liked that steady action as the evening approached. Lots of dinks and hard to find biguns, exept for 4. We only ended with about 1 limit.
To really think about it, it wasn't the hot-humid-no wind-glass-like lake that bothered me, it was more like my OLD age that is catching up with me lately...I forget more things lately than I have ever been... Anyone has a time travel machine for sale cheap???
Anyway, here is JERRY...he mostly fish Lavon and most of the East side lakes... Read TFF often, but rarely post..
Like the title said:...while the cows were laying down, this guy was still standing up!
