Anyone ever fished this pond? It's close to where I live but I don't know much about it? Any info is appreciated. It'd be nice to have somewhere close to home to go for a few hours after work.

It is regularly stocked with catfish in the spring. They also stock it with Rainbow trout in the winter.
I used to think it was just a catfish pond until I saw a guy pull out a nice fat 5 pound Bass during one of the catfish releases. He said he was practicing his casting with a red-white spinner bait and he felt a big hit!

I've caught some 2-3 pound catfish there on chicken livers. Others swear on strips of raw beef or cornmeal-garlic dough balls. Most of that pond is pretty shallow. I think the water might get pretty hot during the summer. Early morning might be best along the highbank.
