Two teams can get on one boat put out 20 lines w/2 hooks per? 40 hooks hanging off one boat man traveling trotline lol.
If any of you want to use Mr. Whiskers punch bait, drop me a PM and will load up what you want and bring it with me if you can't find it near you. That is if i get a partener.

I dont know the lake at all and I am going... that is part of the adventure!!! Are you not going to go if you cant get a partner??

I just found out my partner can not make it. So I now have an opening for a partner if any of the non boaters are interested. I have a 19 ft. Godfrey deck boat with 15 rod holders.

So why dont flatheads count in the blue cat tournament....or big fish pot?

Probably the difficulty they take to catch.

Yeah but they should still be allowed.....Flatty fishing gets good in the middle of september

Well they arent blues... and this is a blue and channel only tournament... We couldnt make a whole other pot for them cause not as much interest as the main species (blue and channel)..

Well at least include it in the big fish pot......

I only have "light" tackle. Anything over ten pounds will probably spool me. And I have no way to catch bait either.

Anything over 10 pounds?? Channel cats will rarely get that heavy!! And you dont have to catch bait.. .just get some punch bait or dip bait!!! Hope you change your mind and can make it out!!

Probably any Blue over 10 lbs will have to swim away because they just might be over 30" or close to it,

you dont have to enter tournament to come out, meet everyone, catch some fish and eat. just having tourny for a little competition and catch enough fish for everybody.

somebody probably already asked this but if you are entered in the blue tourney and your biggest catch is a channel can it be entered in the big fish category?

JB I am looking for a partener. I have the boat and have the rods that will hold hopefully a 4 or 5 lb. channell cat. Have enough Rods for two people. I use Mr. Whiskers punch bait also. May even try to talk Mr. Whiskers into coming with me if he is not busy at Tawakoni that weekend. I am a novice for sure though so don't expect me to put us on fish if you know how to find them then that would be an extra lol. I figured seeing as everyone is supposed to meet at the Cove i would just throw a line onto Larry or someone or stay close enough to follow them lol. But over 20mph they would leave us in there wake. Oh don't tell anyone of my plan.
Also have casting net for shad.

No only because to make it more fair for the channel guys, we are splitting the big fish pots as well... So there will be a big blue for the blue guys, and a big channel for the channel guys...
