Hi Drivas. Welcome!

There are some community lakes you might want to try out: Burke-Crenshaw Park lake in Pasadena, at the intersection of (wait for it....) Burke Road And Crenshaw Ave (or is is Burke Ave and Crenshaw Rd?).

Also there is Tom Bass Regional Park lake just off the South Beltway at Hwy 288.

I believe League City is just south of Nasa Rd 1 and west of I 45? I'm not that familiar with that area but I do know that Clear Creek holds some big blue catfish and flathead catfish, as well as sunfish and largemouths. By the way, I think there is a consumption advisory for Clear Creek; something about dioxins in the fish...

Also, Sims Bayou and Braes Bayou, near where they flow under I-45 have a variety of fish, but I can't vouch for the neighborhoods they flow through!

What kind of fish to you like to catch?

Edit Reason: dioxin advisory

Thanks for the locations fisherwood, I've been looking at google earth maps and have found some that I need to check out. Tom bass and the one on burke-cren I've seen put have not gone there yet. I was also not sure if there were bass in clear creek. I thought it was all brackish and did not want to ruin my gear, but I will try soon. I mostly fish for largemouths, but sunfish and crappie are also fun to catch.

Try Challenger 7 Memorial park (528 & Nasa rd. 1), when you drive into the park there is a pond on your right. I use to fish that pond growing up and would consistently catch bass Try the east side of the pond where the creek branches off of it. Otherwise there are plenty of catfish in that thing.
