Im looking to buy some hooklink line but they are so many to choose from im a little lost and was hoping to see what you guys use. So far ive been tieing all of my hair rigs with some 20lb powerpro but it seems to be a bit to stiff.

I think powerpro is too soft? prologic makes some of the best for the price.

Thanks for the reply Zach i bought one of those ready rigs from wacker baits link and the hook link they had on there was way softer than the power pro ive been using so i thought thats how it was supposed to be, softer was better.

I guess it depends and has allot to do with personal preference, I like coated braid myself.

Why do you use braid as your hook link ?

I always use braid as my hooklength because it is easier for me to tie the loop at the end of hair and it just seems to work better for me. I have tried tying hairs using mono, but it just doesn't look right. So I stick to braid. I use 30lb power pro and also sufix coated braid 20lb strength.

Power Pro floats, It won't lay naturally on the bottom. This can also lead to tangles from fish sucking and blowing.
