Does anyone fish the Mann's Magnums or other Mann's lures. If you do and have used the Rapala Magnums lets hear your opinion. I used both recently and had some problems with the Mann's running true after catching a couple fish on them. Just wanted to know other experiences with them.

Never used the Mann's. Bought a Braid brand trolling lure and had it snap in half on the only fish that I caught on it.

I've wondered the same thing. Cost if in favor of the manns as is availability. Academys on the coas usually have them, but I've personally only used the Rapala.

I have found the Rapala's are the way to go. I have several that are shredded from Kings and Barracudas, but they still run true and raise fish.

The metal lip on the Rapala is super tough. The plastic lip on the Mann's will not run true if it gets nicked up.

Cheers,

tp

Both the big steel-billed Raps and the Mann's stretch 25's & 30's
are proven lures. I know the pink stretch 30 is very popular in Venice and runs true @ 6 knots.
I've got a purple Rapala that looks like it barely made it out of a wood-chipper and it still runs true @ 5.5 knots
might change to Owner ST-66 trebles, but otherwise use them with confidence (and wire!) thumb

I use Rapala. Caught kings, smacks, mahi and cuda on them and some of my originals are still in use.
