I've got a new batch of Rapala Magnums, Snapper Slappers, king rigs, double drop rigs, rods, reels...you name it. Just waiting on Sat. I'll be in Port A for a week of offshore adventure.

This is going to a bittersweet trip since it will be my last trip to Pioneer RV for a while and the last trip in my ol' travel trailer. I've sold her so I can finish out my boat.

I guess one chapter will end and new one begins.

I'll fishing with my very good friend on his boat, the Roma Leigh. A 28ft ProKat w/ twin 'Zuki 140's. We'll be heading deep and targeting AJ's, grouper, 'hoos and the like. We're also going to check out some gps coordinates that I managed to obtain. Can't wait.

Yeah, I know it's a long wait. But after the year I've had so far I can do this week standing on my head.

I've had three trips fall through so far due to unforeseen BS. This one is finally a go. I might actually get offshore once before the fall weather starts and the seas go to carp for the rest of the year. I have one more trip planned for the first week of Oct. Hopefully that will pan out too.

Wish me luck.

Just picked up a pair of Shimano TLD25's on Shimano Saratoga rods, in excellent condition, for an excellent price from BillyBob81 here on the forum. Now I'm really set.

Checked the NDBC and NOAA's forecast. Currently running seas of less than 2 feet and that's predicted to hold. Hopefully, next week will be more of the same. Here I come.

Wish I could be down there too. Sold your Travel Trailer huh. We're thinking about purchasing one of the RV spots at that new place in Port A. When you're not using it they'll rent it out for you. Good Luck on your fishing trip.

You must be talking about Gulf Waters. Have you priced those lots? You can buy a condo for what they're asking. And they have such stringent regulations that it takes a lot of fun out of it. You have to be on your toes or gestapo will pounce.

If you figure the cost of an RV, lot rental, electicity and then maintenance on the rv you could buy a condo. They're smoking crack down there when it comes rv site rental.

We looked at one in the 40's and they're brokerage seemed nice. I use my RV for two months a year with the fishing and hunting so I can't afford to build a house at the ranch and buy a condo. I did get kind of suspicious when they were talking about "undesirable" travel trailers. I may just up and buy an old house down there. Looked at a real beater down there this year for 80k which 75k of it was lot price. I'll stop going down there if it comes to having to stay in a condo. barf

Alrighty, food is packed, clothes are packed, rv is ready for the road. I've got 4 Curados on various 7 footers, two 12 ft. surf rigs, a Penn 650SSM on a 7 ft, four 4 ought Penn Special Senators, 2 TLD 25's, and a Penn 6 ought all on 6 footers, cast nets, buckets, gaffs, rigs, and lures.

I believe I'm ready. Come on Sunday. Leaving at first light.
