So the original plan last Friday was to drive out from Arlington & meet up w/Fastguy & the others on CC but all the wind & lightning/rain told me otherwise. Felt like i was a Storm Chaser so while in route, I pulled off the road & sent Fastguy a text to be careful & warned him of the approaching storms then made a Big UTURN & beeline to LL. Put in @ 7am & found the fish schooling in deep water out in the middle. About 40 birds & me had em all to ourselves for about 20 min. as a few other fishermen started trickling in to join in the festivities. Eventually some very nice & respectful gentleman showed up in his white & faded blue pontoon boat w/ no troll motor & began doing the UNSPEAKABLE! So curdious he never even shut his motor off. Amazingly that's about the same time the action stopped (about 9:30 or so). Hmmm? Still managed around 40 or so Whites & a few Hybrids. Landed one BIGGEN that went 23" (My Personal Best) on a TOPWATER LURE! So exciting! Had to pull out the net for that one:~) Was messing w/ my troll motor when it smashed my lure so I only heard it hit. Man, it sure pulled!

After just reading Fastguy’s report sounds like I made the right decision. Still wanna come out & fish w/ ya ASAP Fastguy!

Sounds like a blast. I've got to get out there and try that LL action soon.
