I was just wondering what a good kayak would be for fishing around jetties and just all around inshore fishing

Yeah... scramblers make good yaks if you are looking for BTB, around the jetties or in the surf just messing around. IMHO they don't make the best bay 'yaks because they lack the length and deck space that I like to have when I go; I like to cover a lot of water and am not afraid to paddle 4 or more miles one way. A longer boat (above 13 feet) will make bay fishing easier on you as it will track better in the wind even if you don't put a rudder on it (which I highly, highly recommend) and makes trips of all distances easier on you. I personally paddle a 15 foot boat - I won't try and hook you up on this or that brand or another; what you should consider is what you are going to be using your kayak for 75% of the time, and go from there.

Go to a yak retailer and ask them to let you demo a bunch of kayaks. That is the best way to do it. Get a hold of Chris at Southwest Paddlesports and he'll lead you to the right direction.
