My best friend and I were able to sneak away from work yesterday and hit one of our favorite lakes, Texoma. We had a great day in the heat catching several species mostly on top waters. We caught probably 12 or so nice largemouth, a few spots, a bunch of stripers, whites, and hybrids, and two great big sunfish to top it all off. Most of our better fish came fishing Yellow magics, spooks, and tiny torpedo's in shad patterns on the first break with very deep water near by. We fished some in Big Mineral, the bluffs and points just down from High Port and then the bluffs down close to Eisenhower. Strange for us but we ended our day with out catching a small mouth which we usually catch in these areas on this pattern. Anyway, a great day to play hookie!
