Went out friday to spend this weekend at lake grapevine. Caught some shad off the docks first thing in the morning, the are was covered with them! Set out two poles with cut shad and turned on the clickers and waited.

After about 20 min got a bite and could not connect. Then again and again.... I said forget it and just let them run with it for a while... Went back to the camp site and had a few beers came back an hour later and one of my reels were completely stripped of line.

I picked it up and started reeling. Then the fight was on! after about 20 min. I finally got it in, it was about a 4 foot gar I am figuring it was about 20 plus pounds

to tell the weight and size i wear a size 13 foot and that is a 7 ft rod.
