I've ran across a good deal on a 2005 Chevy Duramax Diesel Dually. It has an automatic transmission, but it is not the Allison. Does anyone have any experience with this set-up?

An 05 with a Duramax or 8.1L gas only came from the factory with an Allison transmission. If it's got something different I'd be asking "Why?" before I bought it. I'd also want to know more about the transmission that's in there now. Might be why they're selling it at such a good deal.
