going to texoma for some buffalo on the fly and bait fishin. what do I use?

J/k depends on if you plan on fishing the tailrace for buffs or the main lake? The tailrace you can get them any minnow imitation or nymph but if you are fishing the mainlake and are sight fishing to them them then I would stick to a nymph of some kind. As far as bait, sweet corn soaked in kool-aid or jello works great using a carolina rig on a #6 circle hook

Buffs love Strawberry flavored baits from my experience. The sweeter that bait the better. Try to use small baits like Maize.

I poured a whole box of strawberry jello into a can of corn and fished that. got a bunch of hits but ended up skunked. will try again sometime

what we use is

loaf of wheat bread
vanilla extract
pancake syrup


crumble the bread up...add 2 cap fulls of vanilla extract. add syrup little by little until ya get it real sticky... works WONDERFUL
