So for the first time in a few months I took the yak out to Grapevine to do some fishing. After spending several hours paddling around and fishing I had nothing to show for it. Not a bite not a nibble, nothing. I sat contemplating the sale of my yak and all of my gear to focus on one of my many other hobbies. You see I am not satisfied with just one time consuming and expensive hobby, I have to have 5 or 6, sometimes 7. I decided I would try one more spot before saying goodbye to my Tarpon 140 and all of my fly rods, spinning rods and other assorted rods, reels, and gear. As I began to reel in my first cast I felt a little tug on my rod so I set the hook and the rod doubled over and the first fish in a long time was hooked! I reeled in a nice bass and then proceeded to catch 3 more fish! I only got a photo of one of the fish I caught (as soon as I figure out how to post a pic I will). Needless to say I was whooping and hollering like a little kid. I guess thats why we fish.
