Since this is applicable here as well, I thought I'd ask y'all too.

Any opinions on Slowride guide service with Capt. Dean Thomas out of Aransas Pass?

Saw that, but still wanted y'alls opinions.

Talking to my hubby about possibly doing this in April for our anniversary.

Kattelyn,

Dean and his wife are super nice and knowledgable folks. I have rented kayaks from them but not used their guide service - yet. He is the one I will use on my next trip to Port Aransas.

He is heavily involved in the sport. Visit here for a better look:

Dean posts under the name of "slowride" - not a big surprise.

Read what folks say about Dean on TKF and I think you will book a trip! Can I go with you??????

Ron

I'm a member over there under the same nickname and have been reading up on him. I don't have a kayak yet... just a canoe, and as such, haven't posted there yet.

*laughing* You know, I've been thinking about offering up the second spot to share the expense or have it known since my husband doesn't fish, doesn't care to be fishing, but is interested in the paddling around and exploring and being a shutterbug out there.

Kattelyn, I'd suggest posting the question on TKF from I've read I bet you will get a lot of endorsements. I post there on occasion as Call me Al.
