I picked up a small pontoon boat from Tracker in December of last year, From Bass Pro up in Grapevine .Between December and last night, both original tires failed completely. They both bubbled out and failed.
I'd never seen a tire fail in this manner, and now both have done it.
Any guesses what happened?
I'll call my dealer at Bass Pro / Tracker this afternoon, just wondering if anyone else has heard of such..............

Mine have been on my Tracker since 1989. They're starting to get a little thin though.

Mine wore out in less than a year. They're 2 ply and I had 4-ply trailer tires put on to replace them and have had them on for over a year now with very little wear.

Tracker sometimes tries to get by with the cheapest stuff. I have a tracker boat. Not trying to trash talk, it just seems to be the case IMO. Even so that should not have happened. My guess is that the tires were damaged by hitting something and it damaged the sidewall. It might have happened before you had the trailer. I have an 06 trailer with original tracker tires and no problems. I will probably replace them this year just to be safe.

Mine also wore out is less than a year! Severe tread wear, sidewalls bubbled and actually lost a chunk of tread. I have a set on that I bought from Northern Tool that have been on for over a year now with minimal wear.

If they are Marathon tires, yes. I bought a Nitro in February of 07' and had two of the four go bad. One the tread seperated and tore up my fender going down the turnpike. The other had a bulge and I caught it before it blew. Have not had a problem with the other two or the two replacements. They should still be under warranty. I would call Tracker Marine and have them replace them.

Tracker and Nitro trailers have to be the worst trailers I ever owned, tires did ok. it was just everything else especially rust.

I have an 04 and had not changed the tires until about a month ago. I was on the way to Choke Canyon we lost the tread on one tire. We just changed em both after that.

It's very important to fill them and maintain the prpoer tire pressure. You can find it printed on the sidewalls. My tires were new in 02', Ive replaced one because of improper tire pressure. The other looks new.

My buddy bought an 1860 tracker w/ trailer. After 2 mo. he noticed the tires were wearing unevenly. Measured from the tongue to the hangers on each side and sure enough it wasnt mounted square.

Yes. I had tire problems less than 1000 miles total usage. Inside skinny. Tracker's tires are stored for so long that I am told that many (or most) have dry rot. My buddy told me to ditch the tires that came with it and buy radials. No need to go through warranty just to get another bad tire. I discovered your post when I searched for tracker tires. I have a tracker targa. Love the boat.
