Yeah I have only caught a handful, still going for my first on a Jig...I just love using minnows and light line/sensitive rod. Overall I've probably caught around 10 this year and 2 of them being keepers. They are a TON of fun to catch and I can see where the addiction comes in for going after these guys.

Just start fishing with jigs around docks anch any wood or bridges and you'll start catching some crappie on jigs. many, many variables involved but you CAN catch some pretty easy on jigs... no consistently loading the boat with keepers... thats a whole nother story, but some on this forum do it regularly!

Couple of limits

Hey no offense taken. That was a short fish and have caught many with a bigger frame. This fish was gorged with shad and was 3 in across the back. Thickest fish I have ever caught. It snapped my Pro-Angler tip when I pulled it in the boat. It weighed 2.3 pounds on the digital scale I weigh all my big fish with.

This one some of you have seen before. On my scale it weighed 2lb. 10oz. My partner Floyd says it was 3lb plus but I have to go by what the scale said. Nonetheless it was a good one. I caught it prefishing the Lake Livingston tourney this spring and I relaeased it hoping to catch her on tournement day, but that didn't happen.

Caught last winter on Caddo!

Caught a couple nice ones on Fork, my biggest is 17" in the photo, not sure of the weight though.
