Bigtexnick wanted to learn some spots on eagle mountain so we went today. Now he knows my spots and he knows they were no fish on any of them. If I had not foul hooked a buffalo we would have been skunked .
There was no surfacing action at all today and looked on all humps and ridges and did not find anything anywhere. Something about bug and windshield.

Well I feel much better. After my last few outings I decided to stay home this weekend and be lazy...........lazier.

It might be Bigtexnick, I took him out on the home lake to show him around and guess what there were no fish at any of my spots to be caught either a while back!

Just kidding bout Nick, he is good guy to hang out with.

I know the feeling, I accidintly caught one double Fri. evening. After looking at all the usual spots. I think it was because BasscatJB was following me around. He must have had too much of that green fish smell on his boat.

yeah fish were nowhere to be found. didn't seem like anybody else had any luck out there either... but it was nice riding around eagle mountain lake and soaking up the old man's fishing wisdom. next time, we can just troll over to augie's for some burgers on me. thanks again, sandjohnny!

Now you know how I feel about trolling but I could troll over to augies for one of their little burgers.
I hope I am wrong but I am afraid we are in the transition between fall and summer. We may have a couple to three weeks of tough going.

Tell you what next time you go out, i will bring my downriggers and trolling equipment. We can just troll between everone anchored up and slabbin, bound to snag one every now and then. But we have to get real close to the other boats and zig-zag us a pattern through,.

we better go in my boat I think it would be harder to throw a slab through it..

Johnny, I guess the area that I told you about on the phone this morning did'nt produce. It worked wonders for us yesterday afternoon. I'm up for a Daylight assult on the lake if you're game on Wednesday. Lake is LOW right now. I was moving locations yesterday in 9 foot of water and hit a Stump! I've been over that South flat many a time and never hit anything but it sure jarred the Wave. An Augie Burger will make any day a good bit brighter and the wallet a little lighter.

The lake is starting to scare me I see 40,000 bass boats running wide open in 2 ft. of water. It amazes me how many people don't have any idea where they are at. It won't be long before we start seeing boats stuck in various places. I have quit leaving the river channel. Are you off wednesday are you talking about wednesday afternoon.

I'm off on Wednesdays. I watched one guy run up to the mudflat inbetween the island and bug out right before it was too late. I'm done with the weekend fishing until after Labor Day unless I can start bringing my .30-06 with me in the boat.

Me and My brother were fishing by the island and saw two jet skis with two on each run full speed right onto the beach. We felt bad for the kids, it took them about 45 minutes to push them back to deeper water. Not bad enough to go help though.

Deerstrangler Holler at me later today and maybe we can hook up for tomorrow.
