Still haven't posted the pics of the shark I got in New Jersey. You can't really tell from the pics but it is at least 5 1/2 feet long and prolly 50+ lbs. This thing fought like nothing I've ever felt before; it took about 45mins to reel in. We decided it was too dangerouns to get inside the boat so we got it next to us and cut the line. I also got a cool pic of a seahorse we found on one of our crab traps. I'll post em in a sec...

Man I am jealous, I used to buy sharks and lobsters right off the boats from the fisherman in Mexico when I lived in Cali. I always wanted to catch a shark since then and never had a chance. Great catch man!

your shark is at least 60+ lbs, good job, caught some blues off the coast of socal , put up a great fight.

Thanks guys. THis guy that we went out with used to go out every other day when he was younger. Next time I go there he said we will go out for tuna or mako sharks.

I also fished for albacore tuna a few years back, pound for pound the best fighting fish I ever dealt with, my arms burned after 2 hours of fighting 30 lb tunas.
