A buddy of mine has found a popup for a really good price and is wondering if he can pull a boat behind it, does anyone have experience with this? Any feedback would be great.

Maybe a jon boat. Pop ups noramlly don't have the frame strength to tow behind.

You also do not want to exceed the over-all length restriction (I think it is around 60 foot) or have the heavier trailer on the end of the train.

real bad idea, popup doesnt have the frame to pull, the boat will probably be heavier and I have never seen a popup with brakes.
if he does this he needs to get some real real good insurance as I am sure he will need it.
by the way I am a former truck driver with dbl/trpl endorsement and have pulled combos for alot of yrs.

The boat will likely weigh more than the pop up not a good idea. And like said the frame on a pop up would not handle the boat.

Not a good idea, but see it in Houston all the time and they are usually going about 75 mph and it is raining.

I looked into this as well, and it doesn't seem like a good idea at all. I'm going to save up and find a small used 5th wheel to put it behind.
