and he asked if i would go to his land
out in east tx with him this weekend
and forgetting about the fish in i said yes.
Im gonna try and see if he wants to go
to the fish in, but i may end up going
with the old man to get some father son

with him i'm taking him fishing there.

I moved in DFW area about 1 year back from Europe; didn't even know carp fishing is getting popular here until I found this forum.

Welcome aboard Radu. Where are you from? Carp fishing has always been around over here, but obviously not like in Europe.
This forum has been great in getting like minded folks together for some fishing fun..

What I meant was, that I knew bass and catfish were the freshwater fishes most fished for in US, but that was just my opinion...
Anyways, I'm from Romania and back there carp fishing is considered to be "the fishing", especially when going for river varieties. Although, from what I understand, you get much larger captures here.

Now, stupid question: I'm not at all familiar with Whiterock Lake, could you provide more details about the meeting/fishing place? Or should I just look for guys with big rods next to the Fisher Rd parking place?

At first i thought you were the CAG member Radu that fishes the ATC every year. There are a couple of Polish teams and all great people. I always get pegged next to them at least one day.

You should see us along the shoreline. The actual address for the parking lot is 3800 W. Lawther. I will definitely have my big rods out and drive a gold toyota 4runner.

Great! I'll try my best to swing by on Saturday, although no fishing for me then. Didn't bring my carp gear from back home, so I'm in the process of putting together new one.
To tell the truth, even back home my gear is pretty rusty, did a lot of pike and walleye fishing lately.. Just got back from home vacation and pike fishing in Danube Delta

fixing to go throw out some range cubes . hopefully it will bring some in for tommorrow .
