Got a call last night from my chief bait handler, AKA my son. He was in the local ER after being hurt at work. They were pulling a water well pump to be replaced and something broke causing a rope to wrap around his forearm. The force and pressure caused "compartment syndrome". They kept him overnight and the orthopedic surgeon will decide this morning if surgery is going to be necessary. He was pretty out of it when I last talked to him as they set him up on a morphine pump for the pain.

Prayers sent. Hope he doesn't need surgery.

Got the Bait Boy out of the Hospital on Monday, got him to another Orthopedic surgeon on Tuesday, he had surgery Wednesday to relieve pressure on the carpal tunnel. Came thru just fine, he was starving when he left the surgery center, but growing boys got to eat. Downside, I got to find somebody to throw the cast net for the next couple of months. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and thoughts.
