Check out the Palomar on Animated Knots and the Marinews websites. Do you agree with these? I thought the final loop that goes over the bait should come over the entire knot. On both of theses websites it cinches down onto the hook. I saw an article with an Elite pro that said this is a common mistake when tying the Palomar. Your Thoughts?

Hey Willie G
The Double Palomar knot is the same as the original.. except you make two passes thru the eye before you make the granny knot loops. However make sure to snug the last loop on top of the knot.

That PR Knot is used offshore and is basically like a Chinese finger cuff done with the braid that cinches down on the mono tighter as the leader line is pulled by a fish. I have used it on Tuna over 100#.. good knot
