Winfields in Oak Cliff is purty good. Make sure you're packing heat.

Where is this Roadtrip?

I'd love to try it?

I go to Oak Cliff quite a bit.

You have to get your burger to go, they don't have inside dining.
And I spelled it wrong, it's actually Wingfields

I went here today roadtrip, that was good stuff and it was a belly full!

They have a few "Best Burger in Dallas" cut outs from D magazine and The dallas Morning News framed and hanging up.
The folks at the counter were extremely nice.
Looks like a great place to call in an order and run.

I will be back.

I worked in Oak Cliff almost 20 years ago and ate at Wingfields all the time. HUGE burgers! I'm a big guy and I couldn't imagine eating a double. It is best to call in your order though. You don't want to be down there longer than you have to.

Finally tried Kenny's today in Plano. Ended up spending $15 after tip which was pricey, but a pretty good burger and great onion rings.

I tried Pop's about a month ago and my burger had a strong worchestershire taste - Maybe I just hit them on a bad day.

In that area Chubby's Burger Shack up on HWY 80 is my favorite - cute, personable waitresses and cheap ice cold beer are a huge plus at Chubby's. grin

If you find yourself on the Southeast side of San Antonio looking for a place to eat stop into Tom’s Burger and More. (Tom’s Burger and More 13950 IH-37 South, Elmensdorf TX)

We weren't going to stop because it was in an old dairy queen that was a little run down, but the girl at the convenience store next door said their burgers were awesome. She was right!

The place was clean on the inside and they had great old fashioned burgers with good fresh vegetables - good fries - and every burger comes with a hot, fried apple pie like you used to get in the 60's & 70's before they decided it was healthier to bake them.. I learned a great lesson that day - don't judge a burger joint by it's cover.

Tried a Champ Burger which is east of downtown Houston a couple of weeks back. Solid Burger from a old time grill.
