Fri 10 to 15 gust to 20 mph. I think Im going to Little Elm Friday. Hope thoughs big rollers cant make it up in their. Is the dock for fishing or for boats? Im thinking of driving 380 to 720 in stead of the new bridge. Coming from 820 and I35 W ft worth. Thanks for any input,

You'll stll get some wind up there on the 720 side. You might try the cottonwood area to get out of some of the wind. The dock is for boats, no fishing allowed on that one at Little Elm. Good luck to you out there.

You will get some wind if you are fishing that timber but there are a number of coves in those areas with timber in the 8-10 range that hold fish and are wind protected. Good luck.

From 380, turn right onto Naylor Road (at the Prairie House Restaurant). Use the Oak Point boat ramp. There are numerous protected coves with timber both north and south of the boat ramp. $2.50 launch fee.

Is the oak point ramp real steep and the dock way out of the water? Last time I was there it was and I don't remember what the lake level was at that time.

The boat ramp is not steep. The end of the dock is still in the water. I launched my 20' CC Tuesday afternoon.

Wish the city could come up with the money to install a floating dock.

Went to Little Elm .Went 380 going and bridge coming back.Neat bridge. Wantted to fish south in main lake bad . Road out to the big water and the waves were gitting a little roll to them.Played it safe and fished cove south of little elm .Didnt stay long cought about 10 small ones. Then I went out and fished timber in Little Elm and cought about 25 with about 10 being keepers.Road some pretty good waves out there. And learned a little more about timber fishing. Time for a nap.

Whadaya think about launching out of East Hill Park on the south side to get some relief from the wind tommorrow, as an alternative to elm?
