That was at Emma Long, the trip of a lifetime, at one point i had a net in each hand and had to hold the fish in the nets cause we were out of sacks and could not stop catching.

And yes the photographer was some drunk dude from the next campsite.

To answer your question, I haven't really fished for carp too much since last year. Fly fishing has been taking up most of my time. October will be the start of carp season for me!

Well as most of you know I have some land on Granbury and I have decided to start construction on a small cabin on it as soon as it cools a bit. My first structure is going to be a 10x14 cabin that sleeps one or two. No septic or electricity yet but the land does have running water now so I will mostly likely have a tiny kitchen area and might rig some sort of temporary camp privy until I can get a septic tank installed. If anyone has access to scrap building materials let me know. I need to grade the bank to be more bank angler friendly but I don't expect it will take long to get a small cabin up. I think I'll be fishing soon enough.

I haven't been out in forever. I hit Ghostie with Donny a couple of times, but haven't done a real session in ages. What a memorable session that was! The three of us need to get together for another session. I probably won't get out until the fall, if I'm lucky. The new job has me working weekends, but maybe I can get one off after I've been there for a while. Then again, if I get a better job, I'll have to start from scratch.

When we bottomed out Jason's van on that bumpy road cause it was so loaded down with gear lol.
