I love it when my 7 year old catches the big fish of the day. We have finally started to find some keepers on Bridgeport. Notice the batting gloves(watched to much shark week on the Discovery channel. He thinks they all have teeth)

When the cow's are down The fish will make you frown. Wind was probably from the South, That blows it to the fish's mouth. Coulda been from the West When the fishin' is at it's best. No good if it's from the North Don't even bother going forth. Outta the East is when they bite the least.

Good job to you and your son. He will always remember that and won't let you EVER forget it. I know I have 4 boys. Don't forget when the wind blows from the East the fish bite the least.
Thanks guys, He loves fishing. We used to fish all the time when we lived in East Texas. We just started fishing regularly last month after living here for three years and he is old enough now to really enjoy it. My wife would kill me if I sold that Jersey. We got her as a baby and she will have her first calf in November. That cow will probably be around longer than me,lol. The rest go in the freezer but that one is spoiled rotten and will be with us a long time.
He came up, smiled, and broke the rod in two!
Don't forget when the wind blows from the East the fish bite the least.
