Try this ginger based marinade and baste:

Soy-Ginger Fish Marinade

2 Tblsp butter, melted
3 Tblsp soy sauce
2 Tblsp lemon juice
1 Tblsp Worchestershire sauce
1 Tblsp sugar
1 Tblsp ginger, minced
1 Garlic clove, minced
1/8 tsp pepper
1 Lemon, wedged

1. Place fish steaks in a 10 x 13 pan.
2. Mix butter, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worchestershire sauce, sugar, ginger, garlic and pepper.
3. Pour mixture over fish and turn steaks to coat opposite side.
4. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour, turning fish steaks occasionally.
5. Cover grill with aluminum foil and coat foil with olive oil. Grill 4-6 inches above solid bed of medium-hot coals in grill with lid. Cover grill leaving vents open and cook fish, turning once until fish flakes easily with a fork.
6. Garnish with lemon wedges.

I cooked some Salmon the other day and it turned out really good.

*Drizzled lemon juice on filets
*Seasoned with salt, pepper, granulated garlic and then fresh chopped dill
*Rubbed a little bit of olive oil over all filets
*Grilled over mesquite charcoal till done

My 12 year old son said it was the best he has ever had.

Redfins recipe sounds really good. Think we will have fish tonight.

All I know is that halibut is one of the best fish there is. Absolutely pure white meat that is good any way you cook it.

Salmon is very oily, so it lends itself to broiling, baking or grilling. Halibut is much less oily, so you have to be careful not to overcook it, or it tends to dry out.
